Gulfstream Goodwill Industries offers technology training for its employees, program participants, and the community. The technology training program offers a wide range of application training including Microsoft Office 2000 & XP. In 2003, 54 certifications were earned by individuals attending these programs and currently in 2004, 8 certifications have been earned in XP and 4 certifications in Office 2000.
What is the MOS Program?
The premier certification for desktop applications is the Microsoft® Office Specialist (Office Specialist) program , a globally recognized standard for demonstrating desktop skills with the Microsoft Office suite of business productivity applications. By encouraging individuals to develop advanced skills with Microsoft's leading business desktop software, the Office Specialist program helps fill the demand for qualified knowledge workers in the modern workplace. At the same time, Office Specialist helps satisfy an organization's need for a qualitative assessment of employee skills.
Thousands of Office Specialist-certified individuals have demonstrated increased productivity and proven ability to utilize the advanced functionality of the following Microsoft applications:

Certification candidates must pass one or more certification exams to earn Office Specialist certification.
The exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise by evaluating overall comprehension of Microsoft applications. They test the ability to use the advanced features of the products and to integrate the products with other software applications.
Gulfstream Goodwill Industries is an Authorized Testing Center for the MOS program and has a Master Instructor of Microsoft Office 2000 & XP that provide quality training in preparing for the MOS testing.
Since Feb 2004, we have been offering training for the Microsoft XP 2002 Tests.
In addition, we also offer the new certiport "IC3 Certification".
The Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³) program is the world's first validated, standards-based training and certification program for basic computing and Internet knowledge and skills. Successful completion of IC³ ensures you have the knowledge and skills required for basic use of computer hardware, software, networks, and the Internet. IC³ is your gateway to advancement in education, employment, or other certification programs.
What skills does IC³ cover?
The IC³ training and certification program covers a broad range of computing knowledge and skills that proves competency in the areas described below. Individuals seeking IC³ certification are required to take and pass all three IC³ exams: Computing Fundamentals, Key Applications, and Living Online.
