Foundation
Having weathered three hurricanes in 2004 and 2005, we are painfully aware of how important it is to continue and grow our Gulfstream Goodwill Industries’ programs and services. Fortunately, our visionary leaders had the insight in 2003 to plan for the future by creating the Goodwill Foundation. The Gulfstream Goodwill Industries Foundation, Inc.* was established by visionary leaders of Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, Inc. and chartered as a not-for-profit corporation by the State of Florida on August 27, 2003.
The Foundation supports the service programs (rehabilitative, educational, charitable) of Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, Inc., which assists individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
The Foundation is a separate fund-raising entity of Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, Inc. with the objective to provide an endowment fund to which individuals, business and corporate entities can contribute gifts and bequests (cash, appreciated securities, life insurance, mutual funds, annuities, remainder trusts, real property or other assets).
*The Foundation was granted tax-exempt status under the United States Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c) (3) as a charitable organization.
